1st October 2004 Etc gallery first opened to public under the cooporation of two artists Jiri Skala and Jiri Franta. The original exhibition space of 15m2 was in Jaromirova street in Nusle, Prague was a part of a graphic studio Drawetc which has been suporting gallery financially from the very begining.
The exhibition plan of the gallery was focusing on experimentation with artistic media and on a strong personal recall or proposition. The fast succession of the artist's shows followed.
Jiri Franta and Jiri Skala introduced many young talents from art accademies and also famous ones, such as Tomas Vanek and Michal Pěchouček (laureates of Jindřich Chalupecký Award in years 2001 and 2003).
In 2007 Gallery (after half a year searching for a new location) introduced a project by Jan Nalevka while taking part in a presentation of Jindřich Chalupecký Award 07.
The project took place on a new location: Dlouha 33, Prague 1 (Old Town) above czech legendary club Roxy. Etc. galerie was 32m2, one room and it was part the Roxy/NoD Experimental Space and the gallery functioned there for over a year. It's team expanded with Marketa Vinglerova as a curator.
In November 2008 Galerry received a new, this time an independent space in Katerinska 20, Prague 2. The location is enriched by a huge window display. Before the reconstruction the location consisted of historical components in an excessive space, however now it is simple and minimalistic.
